We’re excited to share that Atypify has joined the National Databank, an initiative led by the Good Things Foundation to tackle data poverty across the UK.

Many websites create barriers for people using assistive technologies like screen readers. ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) helps bridge these gaps by making interactive elements more accessible.

Last weekend, something remarkable happened at The Autism Hub. What started as our Meet the Team event transformed into a powerful reminder of why Atypify exists in the first place.

We’re delighted to announce that our Grants and Fundraising Lead, Kaitlyn,  has secured a significant grant from The Access Community Foundation. This funding will help us continue providing free tech education and workshops to neurodivergent young people across London, while enabling exciting new growth.

Our journey to create Atypify's visual identity is a story of precision meeting purpose. As a non-profit dedicated to making technology education accessible to neurodivergent individuals, we wanted a logo that would embody both technological precision and creative thinking. What better way to represent this than through the art of origami?

It's no secret that being neurodivergent and holding down a full-time office job is extremely challenging. From the overstimulating lighting, loud noises, and strong smells, office environments can send our senses into overdrive! Not to mention that every day is different for a neurodivergent person—some days are a little easier than others (and vice versa).

I host my own 21andsensory podcast where I speak to neurodiverse guests from all walks of life including Authors, Actors, Influencers, Illustrators, Artists, TikTokers, Educators, Activists, Writers, Speakers, Producers, YouTubers, Podcasters, Sports Teams, Researchers and Scientists!

In recent years, the conversation around diversity and inclusion in the workplace has expanded to include the concept of neurodiversity. This paradigm shift recognises that neurological differences, such as autism, bring unique strengths and perspectives to various industries, including the tech sector. Employing autistic minds in technology fosters a more inclusive work environment and unlocks numerous company benefits.
